Blogging. This stuff is pretty fun. I have to be honest though, I’ve been feeling pretty uninspired lately. Nothing has really jumped out at me saying “Hey, you should write about me!” The truth is I’ve been pretty consumed by my health (or lack there of) recently, and seeking treatment. This is not another blog about endometriosis. Quite frankly I’m pretty mad at “it” right now and I’d rather write about anything else. Sooo, lets talk about parties! Parties are good. Parties are fun. I love parties!
More specifically, I love PLANNING parties. Big, small, formal, informal… I love it all. A lot of people think I’m nuts and would rather have food poisoning for two days than plan an event. To those people I say let me do it for you! The most recent party I’ve planned was a baby shower for my sister, Emilie. She’s having a boy who should be arriving March 17th. So… she’s sort of having a leprechaun. Just kidding!
Anywho, the shower! I had a hard time choosing a theme since there are literally a million options. My top three favorite were probably woodland creatures, vintage travel, and obviously, the one I chose… a little man theme, complete with mustaches and bow ties! Not that the little man theme was better than the others, but she already has a daughter so I figured the more boyish I could make it, the better.
Unfortunately, I failed to get any photos during the shower (sorry Em!) but here are the details set up before it began:
I feel like the invitations are one of the most important aspects of any event. They set the tone for the party, establish a theme, and give guests a taste of what’s to come. I ordered a digital version of this invite off of Etsy and then printed them myself.
